We’re always being told "find your voice".

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a lovely week! If you didn't read my last post, I recommend it before jumping in to this one. I talked about my Youtube Channel and how it helped me grow over the years.

When I was younger, the questions: "What do you do? What do you want to be?" terrified me, I needed a concise answer. Something that could define me. So I just made something up: I am a video editor / I am an animator. I committed to it.

The best way to get started on the path to sharing your work is to think about what you want to learn, and make a commitment to learning it in front of others.

It was a small thing. Purely just a hobby. Small things can grow into big things over time. Small things shape you into who you are.

Here are some of the videos about fandoms I was a part of. This includes: Fight Club, Mr Robot, Hannibal, Discover of Witches, The Grand Budapest Hotel...

It's funny to look back on this.

In fact, during my first part-time job interview, the interviewer asked me about my hobbies, and I mentioned my YouTube channel. My Fight Club video was the first thing he watched, and he really liked it. We began discussing the film as if we were old friends. I'm still not sure if it was because of it, but I got the job!

The videos I made are connected with what I felt. This one, for example, was made when I met someone special, and as cliché as it sounds, it's just feelings into video form.

As of late, I haven't watched many movies, and when I do I no longer make a video about it. It feels weird to say this but I feel like I grew, I have a different goal now. I let my channel change with me over time. I felt like it was time to find something new to learn so that I could move forward.

A life of creativity is all about change—moving forward, taking chances. The real risk is not changing at all.

At this point in my life I wished I made a little bit more space for it.

I hope one day I have more time to make more animations and share it on my channel.

In the next post I'll share with you the perks of being an animator.

Stay tuned and thank you for reading!
